Rob Clooney has set his sights on a busy and productive year ahead. His goals include completing his collegiate journey by earning his bachelor’s degree, publishing several new books, and grinding out a few more matches inside the ring. While Rob is currently nursing an injury, he remains optimistic about returning to in-ring competition by the summer. In the meantime, he stays active as a volunteer wrestling coach, continues developing multiple writing projects, and has even been jotting down ideas for a few parody jingles along the way.

💪  MPWA & MPW Crossover Show in Dearborn Heights

The All-American Rob Clooney returns to action in one of the region’s premier crossover events, stepping into the ring for a special showcase presented by the Midwest Wrestling Alliance and Metro Pro Wrestling. Held at the St. Maria Activities Center in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, this all-star event brings together standout talent from across the independent wrestling scene for an unforgettable night of competition. Known for his amateur wrestling pedigree and relentless determination, Clooney is ready to represent Downriver with pride as he looks to add another memorable chapter to his career in front of a passionate Michigan crowd. 🌊 Beach Wrestling Update

Rob Clooney has been making waves on the sand this summer, turning in a strong performance at the inaugural beach wrestling event in Toledo, Ohio, before following it up with his best finish yet at the highly competitive Meijer State Games. With plenty of hard-fought matches, sunshine, and great memories along the way, Rob is already looking ahead to several potential beach wrestling opportunities across Michigan later this summer. ⚡ Thunderstruck Wrestling at Rouge Days 2026

Although he came up short in his bid to become the first Thunderstruck Wrestling Champion, Rob delivered a standout performance in the Rouge Rumble, appearing to have the match won before a controversial decision altered the outcome. Rob has formally petitioned the Thunderstruck Wrestling committee to review the results of the Rouge Rumble, and the results are finally in...

Along with "Amazing" N8 Mattson, Rob has been credited with being a co-winner of the 2025 Rouge Rumble. With a championship opportunity awarded to the RUmble winner, Rob will face N8 in a "#1 Contender's Match" during this year's Rouge Rumble event, which is scheudled for September 12th, during the annual Rouge Days festival in River Rouge, Michigan.
